Four Easy Fourth of July Recipes
One of our favorite things about celebrating Independence Day is getting together with friends and family over grilled goods and refreshing snacks. Cotton Culinary has curated the perfect Fourth of July snacks that you can show off at your upcoming celebration.
Listed below are four very easy Fourth of July recipes that can be whipped up in less than 30 minutes. Make them this weekend and tag @CottonCulinary on Instagram! We’d love to see your final masterpiece.
RED, WHITE, AND BLUEBERRIES
1 cup of blueberries
Strawberries and/or raspberries, as many as needed to fill your tray
Your choice of white chocolate-covered pretzels, marshmallows or popcorn
Place your blueberries in a small bowl and place the bowl on the top left corner of your tray. This will represent the blue, starry square on the flag.
Line up your strawberries or raspberries (really any red colored snack) at the top of the tray, in a horizontal line.
Continue the straight line pattern below but, this time, with your chosen white colored snack.
Repeat steps 2 & 3 until you’ve reached the bottom of the tray, forming the red and white stripes on the flag.
3 cups of whole strawberries
4 cups of vodka, your brand of choice
1.5 cups of marshmallow crème
1 cup of blue Pop Rocks
Place all of the strawberries in a large bowl and pour the vodka over the berries until they’re completely submerged.
Place the bowl in the refrigerator and let the strawberries soak for at least 1 hour.
Once ready, drain the strawberries but save the infused vodka for future use.
With a dishcloth or paper towel, pat the berries dry.
Heat the marshmallow crème in the microwave for 10 seconds.
Dip ⅔ of the strawberries into the warm marshmallow creme first, then dip the tip into the Pop Rocks.
Serve & enjoy!
BOMB POP COCKTAIL
12 ounces of Mike's Hard Lemonade
2 ounces of blue raspberry vodka
2 ounces of grenadine
2 mini Bomb Pop popsicles
2 cups of ice
Makes 2 servings
Pour 1 ounce of grenadine into the center of a tall glass, avoiding the sides.
Fill the glass with ice before pouring in ½ bottle of Mike’s Hard Lemonade. Leave about 1 inch of free space at the top of the glass.
Slowly layer the blue raspberry vodka on top of the hard lemonade.
Finish by topping your cocktail with a mini Bomb Pop popsicle!
BOOZY CHERRY BOMBS
1 (10-oz.) jar of maraschino cherries with stems
1/3 cup of Fireball whisky
1/3 cup of whipped cream-flavored vodka
1 cup of white chocolate chips
1 (3.5-oz.) jar of blue sanding sugar sprinkles
Drain cherries and place them in a medium bowl.
Slowly pour Fireball and vodka over the bowl of cherries and let soak for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Once ready, drain the cherries and pat dry with a paper towel. Save the infused alcohol for future cocktails.
Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
Dip two-thirds of each cherry into the melted chocolate. Next, dip ⅓ of the cherry into the blue sanding sugar.
Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving.
