Catering and Food Service Safety During COVID-19
Cotton Culinary is helping businesses keep their employees safe during the global pandemic with safe onsite catering and food deliveries. By providing meals at work, companies are able to minimize their employees’ risk of accidental exposure to COVID-19 at a busy restaurant or public space.
Since before the pandemic, Cotton Culinary has always strived to provide the best quality of food and service while committed to the highest level of food safety. Now, in accordance with FDA, USDA, and local food safety requirements, we’ve added additional precautions to protect our guests and employees.
Here’s are some ways Cotton Culinary is helping businesses prevent the Spread of COVID-19:
Cotton Culinary Employees:
- All employees are screened daily before coming to work to ensure individual health. If they present any symptoms, have traveled, or have been in contact with a COVID-19 patient, they will not be allowed on the job site and may be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
- All are required to wear a mask while prepping, cooking, and serving.
Food Service Procedures:
- Minimized contact with guests and employees throughout the service.
- Minimized high touch points during the service by providing prepackaged individual condiments, employee-served buffets, and served drink service.
- Adjusted service flow to encourage social distancing and allow six feet between guests.
- All of Cotton Culinary’s remote site trailers are equipped with handwashing stations.
- Additional handwashing sinks are available for rent.
- All surface areas, including the kitchen area and service stations, will be sanitized before, after, and throughout the service.
- Staff adheres to all CDC guidelines specific to COVID-19 and adjusts to meet recommendations from the CDC or WHO as information progresses.
- Adjust service requirements as necessary to follow any COVID-19 guidelines from local city, county, or state requirements.
